CHS is a Certified Application Site and Presumptive Eligibility (PE) site (Temporary Coverage) for the State of Colorado's Medicaid/CHP+ program.
CHS Financial Screeners will assist families with all or any of the following:
- providing eligibility information on the government health insurance programs of Medicaid/CHP+
- completing and submitting Medicaid/CHP+ applications
- providing requested follow-up on Medicaid/CHP+ applications submitted
- Medicaid/CHP+ renewal process
CHS Financial Screeners are also able to provide a temporary Medicaid/CHP+ card, if eligible. This temporary coverage card can be used while the Medicaid/CHP+ application is being processed, which can take up to 45 days.

CHS offers this service to any family that wants to apply for Medicaid/CHP+ for their children.
If your child is uninsured call us and we can help you apply for Medicaid/CHP+ or the CHS sliding fee discount program.
