CHS is proud to facilitate a
youth advisory board called
VOIHCE
(voicing our imperative health concerns everyday)
The focus of the youth advisory board is to serve as advisors for the Wellness Center, the school-based adolescent health clinic at Adams City High School.
The group creates awareness for their peers on specific youth related topics. In the past they have created awareness on teen pregnancy, seat belt usage, healthy relationships-teen domestic violence, and in the months to come are going to be concentrating on peer pressure and suicide. They also participated in creating a “tool-kit/manual” on how to get more healthy food choices in to schools in partnership with Partnerships for Healthy Communities.
VOIHCE meets weekly on Tuesdays after school
